Access to God

Ephesians 3:11-12
   According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
   In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

   We have been given bold access to God Himself according to His own "eternal purpose."   God WANTED us to have access to Him.  He sent the Lord Jesus Christ so that we could receive that access and Jesus Christ accomplished that which the Father sent him to do.  Now, we have boldness and we have access to God with confidence because of the accomplished believing of the Lord Jesus Christ.
   If your father is a very important man, like a president or a CEO of a great company, it may be difficult for many to get access to see him.  But, because he is your father, you have access and can usually walk right in to his office any time.  We have been given access to God Almighty!  He is our Father and we can (with confidence) walk boldly right in to see Him.  In fact, we are seated at His right hand and we are continuously in His presence.  Now, that is ACCESS.

Ephesians 1:20, 2:6
   Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places.
    And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus;

Psalm 16:11
   Thou wilt shew me the path of life:  in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

   In Christ Jesus we are seated at the right hand of God.  We are always there in God's presence.  At His right hand we have immediate access.  We have pleasures for evermore.  We have fulness of joy.  We have God there to show us the path of life.  All we have to do is turn to Him and ask!

1 Chronicles 16:27
   Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.

Ephesians 2:20-22
   And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
   In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
   In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

   In the Old Testament, God's place was the Temple at Jerusalem.  When believers visited the Temple they were considered to be in the presence of God.  Today, God dwells in the believers.  We are His habitation.  We are His place.  We are continuously in His presence because He lives IN us.  In His presence is strength and gladness, glory and honour.   What wonderful access.

Psalm 31:20
   Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man:  thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

  In God's presence we are safely kept from the negatives of the world.  God is our strength and we can rely upon His goodness and protection.   When we have a need, God is there.  Because of the accomplished work of the Lord Jesus Christ we have boldness and access with confidence to come before Him and we know that in His presence we will find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 9:24
   For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

Hebrews 4:15-16
   For we have not an high priest [Jesus Christ] which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
   Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

   We have access to God because Jesus Christ faced all the negatives of the world for us and was tempted in all ways that we are tempted yet without sin.  We can now come boldly before God in time of need and receive mercy and grace to help because Jesus Christ stands in our place in the presence of God.

Psalm 95:2
   Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

Psalm 100:2
   Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

   We stand in the presence of God in Christ Jesus.  Let us come before God with confidence, with boldness, with thanksgiving and a joyful heart knowing that He is our Father and we have access to Him.
