Faithful

Psalm 90:2
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

God is Faithful

"Faithfulness" is the foundation on which faith or believing stands.  It is the root of believing.  That which you believe must be constant.  It must be immovable.  It must not change if it is to be trusted and believed.  God is from everlasting and to everlasting.  Infinite in both directions.  God is faithful.

Malachi 3:6a
   For I am the Lord, I change not; . . .

Isaiah 40:28
Hast thou not known?  hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary?  there is no searching of his understanding.

Isaiah 26:4
Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

The word "strength" in this verse is the word for cliff or rock.  God is the Everlasting Rock!  He is the "Rock of Ages."  He is unchangeable, constant and immovable. God is faithful.

Deuteronomy 7:9
   Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

God's Word is Faithful

God keeps his promises "to a thousand generations."  Biblical history documents that Adam was formed, made, and created about 6000 years ago.  If a generation is about 25 years, then it has only been about 240 generations since Adam.  God's Word says that He keeps His commandments and promises to 1000 generations.  God's is faithful.  God's Word is also faithful.

Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent:  hath he said, and shall he not do it?  or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

What God says is true.  It is sure.  It is faithful.  You can trust God's Word because the unchangeable, everlasting God backs it up.

Psalm 19:7
The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure [faithful], making wise the simple.

Psalm 119:89-90
For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth and it abideth.

The Word of God is perfect, settled, established, and unchangeable.  God's Word is everlasting as God is everlasting.  God's Word is faithful, not just to 1000 generations.  God's Word is faithful FOREVER and to ALL generations.

Psalm 33:11
The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

Psalm 119:152
Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.

Psalm 119:160
Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

God's is faithful to us!

1 Corinthians 1:8-9
Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

God called us and we believed.  We are His children:  His sons and daughters.  God is constant and faithful and will "confirm you unto the end."  What a great privilege to know that God is faithful to what He has promised!  God is faithful to us.

1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

God has promised us that He will not allow us to be tempted by Satan above what we are able to handle; and God is faithful to His Word!  We may have trouble in this world, but we can trust that God will make a way to overcome any negative the world may throw at us.  What a great promise of God!  God is faithful to us.

2 Corinthians 1:18-20
But as God is true [faithful], our word toward you was not yea and nay.
For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

All of the promises we have received from God in Christ Jesus are true, and positive and sure.   God does not change, waver, or vary in performing that which He has promised us in Christ.  God is faithful to us!

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

God knows that we are not always faithful to walk and believe His Word; but He is always faithful to forgive us.  When we go to our Heavenly Father and ask for forgiveness, His Word declares that He is faithful to forgive.  We have His absolute assurance.  God is faithful to us.

Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith [hope] without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

Jesus Christ is coming back and we have the faithful promise of God that we will stand blameless with him before God at that day.  God has promised and God is faithful to us.  He WILL do it!
