Apples of Gold in Pictures of Silver
  Proverbs 25:11
A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.

Apples were not a Bible land fruit. However, in the Bible lands there is an orange tree (Kitchilik is the Sanskrit word for it) that produces a golden colored orange about the size of a large grapefruit. These oranges are sometimes called: "Apples of Gold." They are very tasty and beautiful to look at. They are ripe for only a short time and therefore are not easily exported. They make a very refreshing and soothing drink. They are also used to make sherbet. These oranges are placed on bowl or tray of silver and they make a beautiful picture.
When the Word of God is spoken to a thirsty person it refreshes and soothes like these tasty oranges.
