Where is the Food?
  Isaiah 1:3
The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.

1 Peter 5:2a
Feed the flock of God which is among you, . . .

In the Bible lands the animals in a small village are gathered up in the morning by the boys of the town and taken out to pasture and water nearby. In the evening they are brought back to the edge of town, headed in the right direction, and then they find their way home into their own enclosures. Each animal knows how to find his owner and crib. But God is saying that His people do not know where the food is or how to find their owner! God's Word is the food we need to live a life that is more than abundant. We who know God and His Word are charged with feeding God's people with the food of His Word and leading them home to Him.
