God Shall Supply All Your Need
  Luke 10:4
Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way.
Jesus Christ sent out 70 believers to speak God's in the cities that he was going to visit. He sent them because there were many people that needed to hear God's word. He sent them because: "the harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few." Some people say that when Jesus Christ told them to salute no man by the way that he did not want them to waste time greeting people. But Jesus sent the 70 to speak God's word. He told them that: "He that heareth you heareth me." He wanted them to talk to people! He told them not to take a purse. He told them not to take a scrip (a scrip was either a leather bag for food or a bed roll - like a sleeping bag). He told them not to take extra shoes. He told them to "salute no man by the way." By salute, Jesus Christ meant not to solicit or beg along the way. The 70 were going out to speak God's word and they were to rely upon God to supply all of their needs. God would provide the funds. God would provide the food and place to sleep. God would provide the clothing they needed. They were not to ask men to supply their needs. God would take care of them as they walked on His word and spoke it to others.

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
