Psalm 57:10    For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds. Psalm 108:4    For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds. Psalm 85:10a    Mercy and truth are met together;. . . Psalm 138:2    I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

   Mercy is God's lovingkindness in action. It is God's desire to take care of us even when we do not deserve it. The lovingkindness of God is very big. It is great above the heavens! The truth of God's Word is also great. Lovingkindness and truth go together in God's Word. Truth is not truth without the lovingkindness of God, and love is not love without the truth. Both are needed to live the abundant life that God has called us to live.

"O praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the Lord endureth for ever. Praise ye the Lord." Psalm 117
