Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
Believers are of great value to God. It does not matter how valuable you feel. You are what God's Word says you are. You cannot afford to guess about what God thinks of you. You must go to His Word and see what it says. Then, you must change your thinking about yourself to line up with what God's Word says about you. You are valuable to God.
The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
When we obey God's Word written in Romans 10:9-10 by confessing with our mouth the lord Jesus and believing in our heart that God has raised him from the dead, we receive holy spirit from God. At that moment we receive all that God has made available to believers. God's Word says that we are witnesses. It does not matter whether we feel like witnesses. We believed His Word and we received His gift. We are what God's Word says we are. We are witnesses of the resurrection of the lord Jesus Christ because we have that which he gave on the day of Pentecost after he sat down at the right hand of God.
Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
We are called in one hope - the hope of Christ's return. We are what God's Word says we are. We will be what God's Word says we will be. We are called.
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
God called us in one body. Whether we choose to believe it and live that way or not, we are what God's Word says we are and His Word says ONE BODY!
1 Corinthians 12:27
Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.
For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
We are all members of the one body of Christ. We are what the Word of God says we are.
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
We are identified with Christ because we have made him lord and believed that God raised him from the dead. When he was circumcised, we were circumcised. When he was baptized, we were baptized. When he died, we died. When he was buried, we were buried. When God raised him from the dead, we were raised. When God quickened him (made him alive), we were quickened. We are saved. When God seated him at his own right hand, we were seated together with him. We are what God's Word says we are. We are Christ's. 1 Corinthians 3:23 And ye are Christ's, and Christ is God's.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
1 John 4:4a Ye are of God . . . 1 John 4:6a We are of God . . . 1 John 5:19 And we know that we are of God . . .
We are the children of God. It is not a matter of how we think or what we feel. If God says we are His children, then we are His children. We are what God's Word says we are. And we shall be what the Word of God says we shall be . . . LIKE HIM!
1 John 3:2
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
God has made us to be many things in Christ Jesus.
1 Corinthians 1:30
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
We are wise. To the world we may not seem wise, but God has made us wise in Christ. We are righteous - we are right before God. We may not feel that way, but God has made us righteous in Christ. We are sanctified - set apart from the world. We may live in this world; but we are set apart from it in Christ. We are redeemed - bought with a price by God.
1 Corinthians 6:20a
For ye are bought with a price: . . .
1 Corinthians 7:23
Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.
God paid the highest price imaginable for us; He gave His only begotten son. We belong to Him. We are redeemed.
1 Corinthians 6:11
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
We have holy spirit given to us from God. We are washed, set apart, and made just as if we never sinned in the name of the Lord Jesus. Here are some of the other things that we are in Christ according to the Word of God:
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
1 Corinthians 3:9
We are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
1 Corinthians 3:16
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
2 Corinthians 5:20
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
1 Thessalonians 5:5
Ye are all the children of light, and children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
1 John 4:17
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
We are what God's Word says we are.
